Testing comfort
and flow at real scale
This full-scale interior mockup lets CFL and user groups validate seating, circulation, and accessibility before manufacturing. We start with a steel frame that defines the car envelope. Then we build stairs, handrails, and bulkheads in MDF and wood to test dimensions, reach, and visibility.
Hand-built structure to test stair pitch, handrail ergonomics, and visual clearance. Each iteration is adjusted on site based on user feedback during live testing sessions with mobility-impaired passengers.

The mockup evolves with the project. Walls move, seats change, and materials are swapped in days, not months. This agile process prevents costly changes during series production and ensures the final train meets real passenger needs from day one.
Every element is fabricated to test a hypothesis: Is this step too high? Can two wheelchairs pass here? Is the PIS screen visible from all seats? We document each session and adjust the model accordingly, delivering a validated interior layout ready for industrial engineering.

Built fast and modified faster, it’s the most effective tool to align operators, manufacturers, and passengers before freezing the design. The result: fewer changes, better accessibility, and a train that works for everyone.
